2012 Roussanne
What We Taste
Tastes of fresh apricots and peaches lightly drizzled with honey and toasted herbs. Full figured, elegant, and gracefully expressed.
What We Made
75% Roussanne, 25% Grenache Blanc (Landgraf & Hill Vineyards, respectively). The grapes were held in a 50 degree room after harvest, then immediately whole cluster pressed at very cool temps. This was followed by 3-4 weeks of slow, cold fermentation in 48-50 degree tanks. 8 months in premium French oak finished this wine beautifully. 13.9% ABV.
How We Serve
Nice and cool at about 50-60 degrees. That's roughly 20-25 minutes in your refrigerator before serving (When in doubt, chill it a little longer. You can always bring it up to temp quickly). Enjoy it with many light to mid-weight roast meats.
